Sustainability at the Heart of Every Roast
Our mission goes beyond flavor. We’re building a coffee culture rooted in fairness, environmental responsibility.
Eco-Friendly Mailers
We’ve redesigned our packaging to be as kind to the environment as it is beautiful. Our mailers are made from renewable plant-based materials and bio-polymers, and are fully certified home compostable. They naturally break down in about 180 days, or 90 days in commercial composting conditions.
These mailers are used for every 12oz box, 5lb bag, and most of our merchandise. With each order, we also support the Eco-Packaging Alliance, contributing to global reforestation and planting trees in communities that need them most. It’s one more way your purchase makes a positive impact.
Thoughtfully Designed Boxes
Our 12oz boxes are crafted from unbleached, uncoated paperboard that is moisture-resistant, lightweight, and strong — all while using less fiber. They are food-safe, fully recyclable, and designed to balance durability with environmental responsibility.
Sustainable Coffee Bags
Our coffee bags are built with purpose. Made from 60% compostable, renewable film layers, they offer structure, freshness, and reduced environmental impact. A one-way gas valve helps maintain peak quality and longer shelf life.
Unlike traditional packaging made from non-renewable plastic and foil, our bags reflect our commitment to eco-friendly solutions — allowing you to enjoy every cup with confidence and care for the planet.
Solar-Powered Roasting
Our roastery proudly operates at carbon neutrality. In early 2023, we installed solar panels that now power our entire production facility, including the roasting floor. Removing roasting and manufacturing from the electrical grid significantly reduces our carbon footprint.
We roast on energy-efficient Ghibli-15s machines, which use advanced infrared burners to reduce natural gas consumption by up to 60%. This approach blends innovation with responsibility to create incredible flavor with far less environmental impact.
Supporting Sustainable Producers
Sustainability begins at the source. We’re committed to partnering with producers who share our values and invest in long-term quality. We pay quality-driven premiums that help farmers build drying beds, purchase organic fertilizers, and improve their processing infrastructure — all essential for sustainable growth.
We also regularly source natural and honey-processed coffees, which use less water and reduce acidic runoff, helping protect local groundwater and ecosystems. These methods not only safeguard the environment but also produce vibrant, complex flavors that elevate every cup.
